Editor’s notes

I used to see her at her house, to talk about work, once every three to four months, usually on Saturday or Sunday mornings. Whereas in 1989-91 we met several times each month, at first to work out and then to publish her book on Dante; and in 2010-11 we long discussed and then collected the material for her website, this object so mysterious to her and somewhat magical, even after seeing it in action. In previous years she had spoken to me about her project to write a book on Sand Play therapy, which would collect her thoughts, teaching experiences in the light of some clinical cases described and illustrated in their most significant passages.

The last time I saw her at her house – on the morning of Wednesday, November 12, 2014 – she told me she was a little bit tired after the long hospital stay, but she still believed in the book. We was also agreed to renew the website, giving it a more modern and efficient structure.

Now, after the mourning, I’m glad that her daughters Renata and Paola have decided to relaunch the site, to keep Adriana’s memory and teaching alive.
